Talks That Change How Leaders Decide

Every program is grounded in established research on how people actually think, then turned into tools your audience can use right away.

The Pattern Behind the Performance

Burnout, avoided conversations, control and quiet disengagement usually aren't skill gaps. They're patterns. In this hands-on session, managers learn to spot four patterns in themselves and their teams, then use R.E.N.E.W.™ to plan the conversation they've been putting off.

Kintsugi Leadership

In kintsugi, broken pottery is repaired with gold, so the break becomes the most beautiful part. Bill applies that idea to organizations: the failed launch, the lost members, the hard transition. Leaders leave knowing how to turn their hardest moments into lasting strength.

The Method

See the Pattern. Then Change It.

Insight alone doesn't change behavior. Bill pairs a way of noticing with a way of acting.

MAA

The insight framework: how to catch the conscious mind being overruled.

Mindfulness
Slow down long enough to notice what is happening in you, in the moment.
Awareness
Recognize the pattern behind the reaction and where it came from.
Agency
Choose your response on purpose instead of running the old script.

R.E.N.E.W.™

The five-step method teams use to replace a pattern with a better one.

  1. R
RecognizeName the pattern as it shows up in decisions, meetings and conflict.
  2. E
EngageStop avoiding it. Look directly at what the pattern protects and what it costs.
  3. N
NavigateChoose a new response for the moments when the pattern usually takes over.
  4. E
EvolvePractice the new response until it becomes the default, not the exception.
  5. W
WinLock in the result: better decisions, stronger teams and a culture that changes for real.

About Bill

From the Boardroom to the Stage

“Your mind is lying to you, and I can prove it.”

As a former executive at FedEx, Siemens and Canon, Bill Schuhlein spent decades inside large organizations watching capable leaders make the same costly decisions again and again. He wanted to know why. That question became his life's work.

Today Bill is a Fortune 500 keynote speaker and the founder of The Energy of WILL™. His talks draw on established research, including Daniel Kahneman's work on fast and slow thinking and Antonio Damasio's work on emotion in decision-making, to show leaders the unconscious patterns driving their behavior. Then he gives them a way to change those patterns.

Bill is also a Certified Master Hypnotist and a member of the Florida Speakers Association, as well as a member of the National Speakers Association. He lives in Boca Raton, Florida.
